Year 6 - Seal Class

Seal class are the oldest in school and set an excellent example for the younger pupils. Year 6 take on many important roles this year including Play Leaders, Librarians and Puffin partners. They particularly look forward to the Summer Term to spend time with the Puffins (the Reception children) and act as ‘Puffin Partners’ on the beach. Year 6 are also very lucky as they get to try and master the art of surfing, too!

Our Amazing London City Visit 2025-26

The 2025-26 school year saw our very first city visit to London and what an unforgettable experience it was!

Throughout the year, we worked incredibly hard to raise money for the trip. We organised raffles, blind card competitions, school discos and even took part in an enterprise challenge where we turned £1 into more than £1,000. Thanks to the determination, teamwork and generosity of our families and community, we raised enough money to make this a truly memorable adventure.

During our visit, we enjoyed a packed itinerary full of exciting experiences and famous landmarks. Highlights included exploring the Wonderlab at the Science Museum, taking a night-time bus tour of London's famous sights, visiting the Tower of London and enjoying a boat trip along the River Thames. We also visited some of the nation's most recognisable landmarks, including Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament.

Although our planned tour of the Houses of Parliament was unfortunately cancelled, we were incredibly lucky to be given a tour of the Treasury Building instead. As part of this experience, we even stood outside the famous black door of 10 Downing Street, which was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for many of us.

Another highlight was our trip to the theatre to watch Matilda the Musical. For many children, this was their first ever theatre experience and one they will remember for years to come.

The journey itself was all part of the adventure. Travelling by train, enjoying breakfast together, and navigating the London Underground were among the children's favourite memories of the trip.

Our first London city visit was filled with learning, laughter and unforgettable experiences. It is a trip that will stay with us for a very long time.
