Yesterday, Years 5 and 6 headed to the beach to take on some very exciting challenges - Taskmaster style! ⛳ Create a mini golf hole from beach treasures 🪨 Stack stones to make the tallest tower 🙌 Transfer pebbles from bucket to bucket with absolutely no hands 💧 Fill a bucket with water... without going anywhere near the sea! Those are just to name a few! There were moments of genius, moments of chaos, and some excellent problem-solving strategies. Most importantly, there was lots of teamwork, laughter and determination! We had a great morning together 🐬🦭😊

The sun came out for us on our penultimate day and what better way to enjoy it than at the paddling pool! ☀️💦 There were smiles, laughter and plenty of fun all around. We can’t believe tomorrow is our final day already! See you tomorrow! Team Seal 25-26 🦭

🐢 T A S K M A S T E R with White Rose Maths! 🐢 Our Dolphins have had a great time this week delving into Task Master Challenges! Task 1 was to create a rule for a repeating pattern. Using shapes, numbers or pictures, the children needed to create a pattern that followed a rule. After creating them, they then needed to visit other teams and try to solve their pattern problems! Task 2 was to create a marble run, which required the marble to roll for a whole 20 seconds. This doesn’t sound very long, but we soon learned how long 20 seconds really is when you’re trying to make a marble keep moving! We have been so impressed with the problem-solving and teamwork skills of the children. These tasks were quite frustrating at points, but they tried so hard to achieve the task criteria. As always, we’re very proud! We can’t wait to see how the Dolphins perform in the remaining Task Master challenges!
